The ancient village of Putley with its 12th. century church is only a mile and a half from the A438 and six miles west of the historic market town of Ledbury home of the international poetry festival. Surrounded by woodlands and orchards renowned for their blossom, through which many footpaths thread their way, traffic congestion doesn't exist!

Putley hosts the Big Apple celebrations in May each year with orchard walks, cycle rides, cider tasting and ploughman’s lunches. The quiet backwater of Putley is ideally placed for visits to local golf courses, Birds of Prey Centre at Newent, Mappa Mundi and chained library at Hereford cathedral. There are also activities such as riding lessons, canoeing, off-road driving at Eastnor Castle.
